This jewelry set of blue coral is spectacular! Blue is a rare color in nature. It is composed of aragonite. Its' pale blue color is from extracting iron from seawater which becomes a blue salt. The largest blue coral reefs are found in the Pacific ocean off southwestern Japan.
This necklace has two shapes of blue coral beads: round 14 mm and 6 mm beads, and triangular cylinders (20-24 mm long). Silvery roundel spacer beads further frame and define each of the blue beads. The peaceful, pleasing sky blue is a very soothing color! This necklace measures approx. 24 inches in length and has a silvery textured Tierracast sunburst toggle clasp.
Each of the matching drop earrings has one of the 14 mm round blue coral beads along with a 6 mm smaller blue coral bead suspended from sterling silver ear wires.
The color blue is said to have qualities of peacefulness, calmness and healing.
