Hamsa with Carnelian Sunburst with Turquoise on 23 inch Chain
The Hamsa is a protective sign in all faiths. It is shaped like a hand and is also known as the hand of God. The word "hamsa" is derived from the 5 fingers of the hand. It is worn as a protective talisman, amulet, to bring good luck, health, good fortune and happiness.
This hamsa is embellished with a carnelian starburst that has a raised turquoise cabochon at the center atop silvery metal. Each of the 5 fingertips are inlaid with carnelian, and in addition, the 3 middle fingers have a turquoise teardrop shaped design. Even the bail that attaches to the chain has turquoise on it.
The hamsa is on simple oval shaped rolo style silver plated chain. The clasp is a silver plated lobster that attaches anywhere along the other end of the chain, making the length adjustable up to 23 Inches.
